Joanne became a Strategist in June of 2021 and is passionate about leading ladies to their ultimate call and leaving an amazing legacy. She is very happily married to Gerard Connolly, VP in Hospital Administration, singer, songwriter and worship leader. Her greatest joy is her 6 children. Gerard, 32, Joseph 31, Rachael 28, Joanna 27, Shannon 25, and JonMichael 23. They are graduates from West Point, Columbia Business School, Harvard’s Kennedy School, St. Francis College, The Institute of World Politics, Gabelli School of Business, Oxford University and Fordham University. From serving our country in Afghanistan to working at the White House and Pentagon to pursuing careers in business, singing and acting, music directors and leaders of worship, her children are moving into their perspective dreams.

Joanne is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology and worked in the field for over 10 years while pursuing businesses on the side. She owned and operated Party Designs by Joanne Russo, an off-premises catering and event planning business for both private and corporate clients and at one point owned a children’s store. Joanne became a Tea Etiquette Consultant over 20 years ago and is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington with a love for “how to’s” of Etiquette and Tea. With a devout faith and active member of her parish, Joanne has been involved with youth groups, lead a Pro-Life group and served as a co-worker with the Sisters of Life for over 20 years assisting women in crisis. Her decision to become a Strategist is with a deep belief that The Woman School is the Lord’s work to lead women to wholeness and the their divine call.

HOW HAS THE ABW MASTERCLASS BENEFITED YOU?

It taught me to integrate my life. Shown me that God is a God of integration, that the trees and the rain and the sun and the stars and the sand and the waves all work together, just as all my dreams and ideas for the world do. It’s taught me how to love ME, tangibly, through the basics of routines, schedules, and through the encouragement and accountability of the women I am walking with. It’s given me the grace of NEVER feeling burnt out! WHAT?! CRAZY RIGHT?!

What’s the best part about being a Woman School Strategist and helping women?

The best part is being able to ENCOURAGE other women who are brave enough to take steps to grow and become the best THEM they can be! I love to journey with other women.

Because every single person’s dream matters. Whether it’s a dream of being happy, of finding a man you want to be partners for life with, a dream of accomplishing something.



For me, I was tired of feeling burnt out every six months after chasing after all my personal and professional dreams and then needing to take a 6 month sabbatical after that. I wanted to be whole and I wanted to always feel whole, not like I was barely making it.


I believe in this work because it TEACHES YOU HOW TO BE A WOMAN WHO LIVES OUT OF A PLACE OF PASSION AND ABUNDANCE. IT TEACHES YOU YOUR WORTH AND HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF SO YOU NEVER BURN OUT. ITS AMAZING.
